SallyÕs CWS Journal
For most of my life, IÕve written poems & stories instead of journal entries. But with each Milspeak CWS, I try to record online what is going on in my life during the seminar, how the seminar is evolving, and to mention writers who stop by to encourage CWS participants. Most CWS participants have no formal writing training, so almost everything we do is new to them. During CWS 1, Richard Peabody, publisher, editor, anthologist, writer and creator of Gargoyle magazine, stopped by. During CWS 2, Warren Slesinger, poet, editor, publishing executive, stopped by. Two of five CWSs ended early. CWS 3 didnÕt begin because adjusting to other teaching commitments overwhelmed me. CWS 5 ended early because I was exhausted following a fulltime year of teaching on top of having just written and helped produce a play. CWS 6 is set to begin August 25, 2007.
