i learned about this organization through an mcas beaufort librarian, who is a member of blue star mothers. she contacted me about packages the beaufort chapter wanted to send to troops in iraq. i contacted jake, a marine officer i once served with, who is now serving in iraq. thanks to beaufort’s blue star mothers, boxes of goodies (including girl scout cookies) made their way to our troops. thank you blue star mothers everywhere for all you do, for the time you sacrifice to make our troops lives a little better, and for the love you share with each other and us.
